Opening Doors 2020, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation, in conjunction with F.O.A.M. Festival Of Arts and Musique announce:

Walk to the Future Silicon Valley, Saturday May 28, 2016 Memorial Day Saturday, 11a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHAT: Up to 1000 walkers walking in a 5K fun-walk to benefit numerous not-for-profit organizations.   Walkers select their favorite nonprofit to "champion", then raise money before the walk for their favorite cause.

WHEN: Saturday, May 28, 2016
Registration opens at 9:00am
Walk kicks off at 11:00 a.m. in Penetencia Creek Park, San Jose. 

WHO: Up to 1000 walkers walking to benefit numerous local youth-based nonprofit agencies.

WHERE: 5K/3 mile walk starts at Penetencia Creek Park, San Jose, California.

The goal is to build the biggest multi-beneficiary walk-a-thon in the Bay Area to benefit numerous youth causes.  Any youth-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization operating in the San Francisco Bay Area can apply to be a beneficiary in the walk. Beneficiaries recruit walkers who raise money for their cause online. Event organizers track donations and credit walkers with proceeds. All proceeds will be forwarded to the walkers selection after the walk. Nonprofit groups may apply here:


Cost to walk - $25 Adults - $10 Youth Teens & Seniors 62 and - Free Children 5 and under. Walkers can also raise donations for their walk online.

Individual and corporate monetary and in-kind donations and sponsorships are needed and welcome.
